Your Path Forward

From Pain to Performance in Three Clear Phases

Reset

We calm pain and irritation, restore basic movement patterns, and give your nervous system the signal that it's safe to move again without guarding or compensation.

Restore

Once pain settles, we improve coordination, control, and movement quality so your body can handle the demands of trails, training, and real-world activities with better efficiency.

Reload

We progressively add load and sport-specific demands back into your training so your body can handle real-world conditions. The goal is durability and confidence, not just getting out of pain temporarily.

What Flagstaff Athletes Are Saying

Real experiences from active people in the Flagstaff community.

Eric explained what the PT approach would be and gave me exceptional therapy. He is generous with his time and knowledge. Very happy with the take home exercises and support. Yay for strength, no pain, no surgery in sight.
Annagreta Jacobson
I can’t recommend Eric enough for physical therapy! He really knows his stuff and took the time to walk me through what was going on and how the exercises would help. He was super patient and understanding, which made a tough situation feel a lot more manageable. I actually felt better after the very first session and kept seeing improvements pretty quickly after that. He’s great to work with!
Erin Stanford
Eric was very helpful in my ankle sprain recovery. Initially, I was hesitant to trust that the ankle could bear weight in dynamic loading conditions, but in just a few sessions Eric helped me regain the confidence I needed to trust it on rough trails
Joseph Williams
He is extremely knowledgeable, and is able to explain everything to me without me being confused. He is easy to talk to. The homework he gave me never seemed overwhelming...it was achievable and easy to understand. I will go to him when I need physical therapy again. Hopefully I don't injure myself too soon!
Stacey Calvert
I came to Eric just 4 weeks before a big race with knee pain that always showed up around mile 14–16. He really listened, observed how my body moved, and gave me personal targeted exercises. In my 50k, I didn’t feel any knee discomfort until mile 28/29. Couldn’t recommend him more!

FAQs

Common questions about working with Cadence Performance in Flagstaff.

Do you take insurance?

Cadence Performance is a cash-based clinic and does not bill insurance directly. You pay at the time of service, and many people choose to submit receipts to their insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement. This model allows us to provide longer, one-on-one sessions without the restrictions that come with in-network billing.

Where is your clinic located in Flagstaff?

We're located at 3859 N Paradise Rd in midtown Flagstaff, near the Safeway on Cedar Avenue and close to Buffalo Park. It's a small, focused clinic space in a residential area that's easy to access from most parts of town.

What should I expect during my first visit?

Your first visit is a full evaluation where we assess your injury or movement limitation, discuss your training and activity goals, and create a clear plan using our reset-restore-reload framework. Sessions are one-on-one and typically run longer than traditional PT appointments.

Do you work with endurance athletes and trail runners?

Yes. A significant portion of our practice focuses on runners, cyclists, triathletes, and outdoor athletes who train at altitude and on technical terrain. We understand the demands of structured training plans and how to modify load safely during rehab.

How long does treatment usually take?

Every situation is different. Some people notice improvements within a few sessions, while others with chronic or complex issues may work with us over several weeks or months. We'll give you a realistic timeline during your evaluation based on your specific situation and goals.
